My week has been challenging to say the least on a personal level although I have found that if I stop and listen and observe other people, so many have more challenges than you could ever imagine. Take my friend Wendy Hirst (@savvymum4autism) for example, an exceptional human being who has the most challenging life on a day to day level with 4 kids, 3 being Autistic who she loves more than anything in this world. She doesn’t ask for much, she gets on with life with a smile and incredible energy, educating people about Autism with her amazing website, The Savette Gazette, which two AMAZING people namely, Paul (@bathmarketing) Dan (@danfast), help me set up for her so she could voice her life to educate ignorant people about the beautiful souls that are autistic. (Thank you as always to Dan and Paul for their unwavering support to Wendy.)
When I have sat back and taken these reflective moments in and realise how fortunate I am, I like to give something to someone else, as I do believe that karma plays a huge part in our lives and taking time out and being grateful for all I have and giving back in some form (that doesn’t have to be monetary) does get recognised by the universe and will come back to us. I often find that once I have done my giving bit, the positive energy abounds.
When did you last give something to someone, even if it was a big smile? It’s not hard, it’s really easy and you might find that reaching out to someone, just for a moment might change their life forever. So next time you are facing some challenges choose to shift your negative energy/intention to a positive one and focus on someone who has more challenges than you. You might find so many good things happening!
My giving mission this week is to get a special mattress for Wendy’s youngest Zak. If anybody has any connections for silent night baby mattresses could they please get in contact with me via Twitter (@trace_berr) or even if you want to donate a little towards it by giving Wendy Amazon gift vouchers it would all be appreciated!
Thank you!
